"Lets take them all out before the "green" one arrive"
Sorry too busy and rather depressed over family and personal matters lately to maintain constant updates. Supposed to be for the chinese hungry ghost festival, now just in time for halloween. Been trying out some new techniques.
Another tribute to the late Lam Ching Ying
Continuing with the concept from the previous piece,
This is Lam, the third senior of Priestess girl, he is also the expected to take over their temple as the next Grandmaster.
He have a reputation in specialising in dealing with Chinese vampires. He used to have 2 disciples who will help in him in his hunts, but after one of them got killed, he decided to send off the other and started working alone.
Unlike his other fellow classmates, he rarely relied on powerful spiritual relic weapons to deal with the vampires. Instead he draw on his own powerful spiritual strength and his vast knowledge of his unearthly opponent to destroy them.
However when the enemy prove to be too much for him to handle, he wouldn't mind getting help from his fellow classmates as in this case.
In this scene he is just using a common coin sword and paper talismans empowered by his spiritual power while his junior is using a powerful relic prayers beads from the western lands.
Extra infos from the research I dug out:
Chinese vampires not only hop around, those that hop around are most likely to be under a spell of a priest and in a way quite safe.
Those "wild" ones are harder to deal with, as they will evolved by absorbing the energy of the sun and moon (ying and yang)
And those are categorise in different stages by colors,
The first stage is the purple, which is commonly seen in the movies, in this stage the vampire itself will continue to rot ( something like a zombie)
The second stage is the white, in this stage they stop rotting and begin to emit demonic energy that can poison normal humans near them
The third stage is the green stage, in this stage the skin have turn green, and they begin to recover partial past memories and their intelligene increased
wow This Reminds me about those old Chinese Ghost Movies Wherre they go "Pwo Yo Pwe Leh Mi!" or Something sounding like that

This newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and =Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board. This is a special feature, with a selection of 50 manips from the past year that we loved.
